I just found a baby California swift lizard and i want to know any facts people can give me on the little guy?
I just would like to know the basics, i have “Frank” in a little critter keeper. i gave it like four small crickets and a lil chicken but it won’t eat. I don’t want him or she to die my girl friend has become kinda attached to it. I;m waiting for a crested gecko later on but i want to keep this one around untill i get the other one.
So does any one know what type of habitat would be perfect for this little guy?
WARNING-The taking and possession of lizards is regulated by the California Department of Fish and Game, with specific regulations depending on the species. Lizards cannot be sold or used for commercial purposes. For further information about taking and possession of lizards, contact your local Fish and Game warden.
First off, if you are going to keep it go out this week-end and buy an actual terrarium. Something at least 3-5 times bigger than what you have now. If you want a gecko too they will have to be in seperate cages.
Feeding it small crickets should be good, don’t give it the chicken. Possibly see if it will eat some leafy green veggies… like kale, and mist some water into it’s cage.
